Thanksgiving often invites us to count our blessings—but what happens when those blessings sit alongside grief, uncertainty, or concern about the future? How do we give thanks while telling the truth about our lives, our country, and the holiday's complicated history?
Rooted in Colossians 3:15–17, Giving Thanks Thanksgiving invites us to prepare our hearts for the holiday by practicing gratitude together. We’ll explore what it means to let Christ’s peace shape our hearts, God’s word dwell among us, and thanksgiving flow through our words and actions. There is room here for celebration and lament, for gratitude over what is good and honesty about what still needs to change.
As we navigate a consequential election season and gather around our Thanksgiving tables, we’ll look for the grace that sustains us and nurture hope for the future God calls us to help build. Together, we’ll discover how giving thanks can deepen our love for one another, inspire generosity, and strengthen us to meet the days ahead with courage.

It chronicles the discovery of never-before-seen archives which unveil astonishing new revelations, and casts significant doubt on any biblical basis for LGBTQIA+ prejudice. 1946 is challenging, enlightening and inspiring.
